Nope. The military never frowns on legal over the counter Muscle Building Supplements that you’d get from The Vitamin Shoppe or GNC, etc. Almost ever Marine I’ve ever known has taken some form in order to build their bodies, including my dad.

Nope. As long as they are over the counter and not prescriptions, you’re good to go.

A good indicator of whether or not the "supplements" you are taking are OK, is the following…if your nuts are the size of lima beans after extended use of said supplements…you are probably taking a substance that is not very good for you.

Be very careful with the creatine. Taking creatine increases your creatinine and urea levels in blood and urine tests, which is an indication of kidney failure (even if your kidneys are healthy). As soon as you stop taking it, your levels should go down.
The doctor didn’t ask me if I was taking any supplements and I had to do a bunch blood tests and scans when my urea and creatinine levels were a bit high. Finally, when they couldn’t find anything wrong with me, they asked me if I was taking any supplements and realized it was the creatine that was messing up the tests.
I lost a lot of mass from not taking creatine. It’s been 2 months and I have a bunch of follow ups because although the creatinine and urea levels have gone down, they want to make sure it continues.
Although I’m already in, it wrecked my chances of taking a few courses. At least until my levels go back to normal.
I don’t know what would happen if you showed high creatinine and urea levels in your initial urine test.
