Im a hard gainer. What muscle supplements would be ideal for my body type?

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Im 6 feet tall and a 140 pounds. I've been working out evry other day for almost a year now but i have no gained a single pound nor have i got any bigger. Its very annoying.

What muscle supplements would be ideal for my problem? i know the supplements isnt the only thing i need, but i have a good workout program and just need an extra boost. thanks!

Okay, first off, you shouldn't work out everyday. The strain on your muscles is going to become too much and you're going to hurt yourself. Unless, of course, you work out something different everyday (like legs one day, arms the next, etc.). I like to use something called "protein". You can find them basically anywhere. What I WOULDN'T EVER SUGGEST is steroids. It's not worth it.

Women take prenatal vitamins but do men need to take anything?

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

So we need to take prenatal vitamins before we try to conceieve but Should my husband take anything to help his sperm count? should he do anything in particular when we are trying to get pregnant?

hi its good for him to start taking good multivitamin, start eating right(if he isn't already lol) and keep aways from drugs alcohol and hot tubs.. znc is also a great supplement for men to take as it helps with sperm count too and so is vitamin c.. heres some info about zinc…..

Zinc (15 – 30mg/day): This mineral is important for maintaining the production of testosterone in men. Low levels of zinc can also affect sperm count and motility. In women, zinc helps the body use estrogen and progesterone more efficiently. Meat and seafood are the best sources of this mineral but it can also be found in whole grains and wheat germ.
As important as this mineral is, it’s vital that you don’t take too much. High levels of zinc can be toxic as well as counterproductive in your efforts to aid conception. A well-balanced diet is usually sufficient to maintain zinc levels. However, if you are thinking of taking a zinc supplement, consult your doctor first so that you can be sure you receive the correct amount.
